I'm not sure about the B200E in the 7/900 series but in the 360 it uses an A cam and in 1985/1986 it was a high compression 10:1. If they used this setup in the 7/900 series that would account for why it is so much livelier than a B200F.

BTW the B200E is 116hp in the 360 so I assume it is the same for the 7/900 series.

Looks to be a V cam in both the B200E and B230E in the 940. B200E is 121bhp

M cam in the B200F

I'm fairly sure the 360 never got K-Jetronic in any form Luke, think it was LE-Jetronic on the B200E, later LH-Jetronic. My 360GLT had L-Jetronic if memory serves.

That’s interesting-identical bhp figures for my diesel 940 and the B200E powered 740! Of course the B200 is a lighter engine which makes the car feel more eager, but the D24 has enough torque to drag a house up a hillside. Really interesting to see how these cars are so similar but so different.

D24TIC is 122bhp so one whole more horse 11.5 0-60 so a fair bit quicker than the 740
