Average Age of XC90 Owners?
...I don't even have it yet & already I am getting a bit of a complex.
Several people at work have made negative comments along the lines of ' A Volvo, that's an old mannies car' ! I certainly don't think the XC90 is, but it got me wondering what the average age is? It will sure be a change from the Octavia Vrs I currently run, but maybe it is time to grow up ? |

Yep, not sure where this comes from but the kids tease me unmercifully - they reckon all I need is a flat cap! I tell them its the R-Design, but that cuts no ice at all!!!!
For the record im in my mid forties, so just a lad. |

In the last 5 years, I've gone from an Accord Type-R (family racing car with 9000rpm redline) to a BMW 530d Touring automatic (e61) to an XC90 R-Design arriving hopefully in June - and I'm ony 38!!!

Thanks lads (& lassies?)...that's reassuring. I am the big 40 BTW.
Hoping this might be a stepping stone to a newer, plusher model - R-design that would be nice (getting a D5 SE Geartronic). But for now, getting used to the idea that the Octy's pace will be traded off for a bit more comfort. Always important at our age ! Sod them, it's time for me to fight back. Thanks for the amo ! |

I have never had negative comments about Volvo image. Bought the XC90 3 years ago when I was 38, so that makes me ....
In fact most people I had in the car (also D3 drivers) have been extremely positive and were truly disappointed that they couldn't afford one

I'm picking up an '04 SE D5 on Saturday and I'm 30 (well I'll be 31 on the Sunday!). I've spent nearly 3 years drooling at them and slowly influencing SWMBO into letting me get one!

39 and on my second xc90. Had the first one at 35. Gone are the days of volvo's being an old mans car (as far as I am concerned anyway)
