Found out today that,
A NEW switch has to have a SW upgrade to marry it to the car, A 2nd hand switch MUST be the SAME PART NUMBER or possibly from a simular year of manufacture of the veh (IE 98/99/00) then its pot luck. So I require one with a part number of 8622039 or from the year 98/99/00 to try. Unfortunatly, B.B.s is a later model and so prob will not do. cheers all. Joe.
