XC90 Navigation unit problem

Hi All,
HELP.
I am a recent purchaser of a 2010 xc90 and am not yet used to it ways.
Just activated the navigation unit and it rises as it should but displays the following. The DVD insert shutter on the front of the navigation unit is open shut it to continue.
I have tried putting a DVD in the dash unit and rejecting it to no avail.
Anyone know what I should do ?

hi, I think the dvd unit is under the passenger seat

Yes the sat mac unit is under the passenger seat and won’t work if the gap that covers the slot is open. You should just be able to close this but if you have the disc then try putting that in. It’s easy for people to catch the flap and pull it open and you get that message.

To clarify for international readers:

The vehicle's navigation drive unit (where you insert the map DVDs) is under the front left-hand seat, regardless whether the vehicle is left hand drive or right hand drive.
