Default Strange bluetooth problem on 2011 XC60

I have a strange problem with my factory bluetooth on XC60. The phone (iPhone4) connects fine, everything works, but during the call the sound is very low. So I have to turn the car audio up to about 75-80% of its power to be able to hear somebody. The sound drops only short after the connection. When I'm waiting for somebody to pick up the phone the ring sound is extremely loud on 75-80% of power, so I have to turn it down, and then up again after somebody picks up the phone.

Anybody has same issue?
I think it might be connected with iPhone itsself not the bluetooth software of the car...

If you dont have this issue.. please can you check in your configuration (bluetooth setting in the car) what is your firmware/software version.

Thanks.
Tom

Default iphone 4 vs XC60 bluetooth

Did you finally find a solution? I have a 2010 (may) xc 60 and I'm thinking about getting an iphone4, which does not appear at volvo's bluetooth compatibiity web page.

Thanks in advance,

LLuis

Yes it is OK now. Haven't changed anything. It looks like the car is storing the volume level separately for Bluetooth and car audio. Iphone4 works 100%

Can anyone point me in the direction of the Volvo Mobile phone compatibility site please?
I have a Samsung Tocco lite. I can get it to work in the car but it won't automatically accept it when I return.
I wondered if the Tocco is on Volvo's acceptance list or not.

They don't seem to update or test new phones since the original was tested - I suggest that you check the settings on the Tocco as the XC60 seems to have successfully connected with every phone - though people have has initial issues, after correcting phone settings the issues seem to have gone

Good luck

If you authorise the device, it will automatically connect every time. Check your BT settings on your phone.

Thanks but Sorry guys, I'm a bit of a dinosaur with mobiles.

wimorrison, the paragraph under the heading "Which phones are compatible with my Volvo". Is the "landing page" the Home page? I can't see the "Find a phone" page.

Hope that makes sense.

155mph - how do I authorize the device?

Told you I'm a dinosaur.

Click on the Integrated Bluetooth Handsfree on the left hand menu, and scroll to the bottom of the page - you can then choose the region and phone manufacturers

As I said though it it not updated very often - as examples, my blackberry 9700 is not listed yet it works 100%, nor is the iPhone 4
