But for holding back at junctions A BIG THANKYOU.
You’re welcome!

If I remember rightly the truck in question was a UK one which made his line choice more puzzling, but just goes to show expect the unexpected!

Best one I saw though was a small, narrow, off-camber roundabout on an A road near me (trucks physically could not take it unless they straight lined it).
As the left hand lane off the main road took a lot of town centre traffic, it usually got clogged up, which meant people used to bomb it down the outside lane and try barging back in on the roundabout exit (usually the Audi or the people carrier ‘I’ve got Kids’ brigade)
Anyway, one day someone tried this whilst an artic lorry was entering the island, and ended up wedging her car between the side of the trailer and the island kerbing; fortunately no-one hurt but closed the road for hours whilst they untangled it! Cue total re-design of the island and the lane configuration to try and make it idiot proof!

I agree with you re.foreign trucks, in fairness to the drivers it must be difficult with the sight lines and blind spots! I race motocross for which we have an LHD Transit and it is an eye opener, must be tricky in a class 1 HGV.

Seems at least one HGV fleet owner is taking cyclist safety seriously.
