It's the reason that I don't use 3D and never have (it's always been there). Seems bonkers to lose so much of the screen to sky.

I always have my display selected to 3D, which has the band of blue at the top of the Sensus and drivers display.
After reading this thread, I thought I would try it in 2D with the following results: Drivers display stayed the same, with a small band of blue at the top. Sensus display, changed to half the display changing to blue, why this should happen? Back to 3D. After thought. I tried the changes without rebooting Sensus. Maybe I should have stopped, got out, locked the car and then restarted, for the change to be activated? tem.

In 3D view it helps to have less on-screen area to display in 3D, as the processing needed is higher and could slow down the computer. This is an old trick used in many 3D implementations, including mapping and games etc. to assist in retaining performance.

most mobiles for the past say 5 years have been able to cope with teh processing power of 3D navigation
you think volvo would find a processor that would be able to cope with showing another inch of 3D map |
