Volvo IT dept
Is Volvo's IT department the worste of any company in the world.
Can anyone use their "Volvo mauals" App, I used to have the manual for my 2017 XC90 and my old XC90 as well as the V90 and XC60 (as a reference guide to help others). I can access them at all now using the App, I can only use my old downloaded manual now. It was easier to use via the App. "Myvolvo" is also very slow and they have spoilt that with the new layout, and what happened to the dashboard layout that was always promised to be developed on the old version. You can get your own manual on there. Last edited by nu11eaf; Jul 28th, 2018 at 12:01. |

App says "manual not available for this car, do you want to download now?" when accessing on through my phone. Choose "No" and it gives you the option to update, which is a 27mb file I think.
This gets me back in action, although it still prompts, falsely, that the manual is not available for this car, when it patently is and does open if I cancel the prompt. Yes, it is another glitch which will be updated in time no doubt. By the way, my manual is in a separate app on my phone, which can be opened either through the OnCall app or independently.

as I could have a selection of manuals on there. (For reference and comparison) After having problems with the App I deleted it and reinstalled it but it still wont work and now all my installed manuals are gone so I cant update them. Volvo have a lot of problems with their apps and web pages and they take forever to fix the problems. Worse thing is the replacements are inferior to the older versions. I will try what you suggest and see what happens, Thanks. Edit: I am just getting "unknown server error" message, when this message came up I pressed the back button and the download page appeared saying Information on your car is being downloaded, but it just hangs there with the download circle spinning forever, I wonder if they have stopped supporting my android system (4.4.2) on my Samsung galaxy tab 3 as I have uploaded a map via the App on my newer phone. No.Books are so.....’twentieth Century’.... and probably ecologically and ‘holistically’ ‘unsustainable’
Besides which, Acrobat files are so much more convenient. Yes they are!

Also they don't need a big glove box - my V50's is virtually full once the manual & Service book are in there!
