Ok so its a long way, but I heartily recommend Cecil and Larter in Bury St Edmunds. A good old family firm. Got a good deal on my car and the customer service is second to none in my experience...

This why PCH is good for me, no real sales pitch with a dealer. That's been my pet hate of car buying until I found leasing as your P/X was always the wrong model or colour unlike when you bought it

I ordered my next XC60 from then the other week and it was just a case of 'can you match this deal', job done

I originally saw the XC60 at one dealer, test drove twice, negotiated but they undervalued my E Class for p/ex and didn’t seem to bothered about getting a deal. Went to the next nearest dealer and they couldn’t have been any more different. Paid the deposit that day.

Original dealer kept banging on about PCPs and what I could ‘afford monthly’ despite the fact I wasn’t particularly interested in a PCP or lease/hire purchase. The second dealer, funnily enough, was quite happy to take the cash...

Mine ordered via Marshall Volvo in Cambridge. Couldn't have been more helpful. Plus a good trade in on my A8.

See Barry at Ray Chapman Motors, York.

I’ve bought three new XC60s from him.

Does these PCP deals not carry a mileage cap? Something pointless like 10k miles. On avg I do double that per year.

You can vary the mileage at the deal stage. Small penalty for going over but that only applies when handing the car back and doing nothing else. That is generally the worst thing to do.

Contract mileage can usually be adjusted ‘in flight’ too, generally provided there’s a year or more left to run

Another one to recommend Riverside in Doncaster, if you’re up that neck of the woods. I went from the south coast up there and was very happy with the whole experience.
