Why pay with cash when you can get 50% interest free over 3 years and for doing this deal get a £1000 Volvo contribution. ???

I'm just going to put the 50% into interest bearing account and draw on it monthly to cover the payments. Sorted.

Assume you are referring to my post. If you are, there was no such deal. It was HP with a % rate.

If there was such a deal, I would again been all over it if it was interest free even though I am not a fan of HP on cars.

I think we've just decided to go with the XC60. Far more safety kit on it.

I also recommend Ray Chapman Motors. I dealt with Daniel Ward who I found excellent.

I dont think they like you buying cars at all, they prefer PCH or PCP deals these days.

There is a 0% APR + £1000 manufacturer’s deposit contribution deal on PCP finance with 50% deposit from customer on a 3-year term. I believe that is what Crockers is referring to.

That's the deal I'm going with as well. You have to put the 50% in first though (I'm doing this with the value of a px car). Pay the other 50% at 0% over 3 years. Then the car is yours to either sell or use for a couple of years, or px into another deal.

It's more like hp than pcp as the car is yours at the end of the term with no final payment.

Apologies, you are right; I meant to type Conditional Sale rather than PCP.

Ray Chapmans were no better when I looked at trading mine, so never got to figs on a new one. Try Pat O'Halloran at Riverside Doncaster, he matched/beat DTD prices they sell a car for a few hundred quid and the reason is simple they sell hundreds every month!
