I concur when it comes to Aviva; have spoken to them last week and they confirmed that there won’t be any additional loadings applied to the policy i.e. premium and T&Cs due to Polestar performance upgrade, even if the upgrade is applied by the dealers post delivery and is not part of the factory build/invoice.

I went for blond interior with driftwood inlays and I am absolutely loving it; great combination.

Strangely, they charged £40 extra for my 2008 (wanted £70 to start with but I objected and some haggling followed!), then the 2012 and 2015 were both accepted without any additional charge.
Do remember to refer to it by its proper name: Polestar ‘Optimisation’ - not ‘performance upgrade’ which usually gets them unnecessarily excited = over-cautious.
Then the price goes up, or they won’t cover you at all.
