Almost universal agreement on here , fit the Genuine Volvo kit.
Gives you much more functionality than any after market systems and can also be very competitively priced. It not only works the lights, switches off the parking sensors, rear fog lights it also checks the lights on each start up and adapts the DSTC system to allow for any trailer sanaking.

...not sure what your options are on a 2003 Mk1 C70 - which is based on the P1 S70/V70 platform.
If there is a Volvo trailer module available - then that is usually the most effective way to go. If not then a generic relay/wiring kit might be your only option. I hope you don't need to do much reversing as the C70 is high arsed and typically poor rear visibility - much worse with the hood up. Still a stunning looking vehicle event by todays standards though.
