Yorkshire: - Any north east meets??

just wondering if there is any north east meets round middlesbrough etc im from hartlepool myself

None that I know of, but it would be good to see if any others from the north east would be willing to have a get together...

I'd be more than willing to come down from Scotland (just over an hour from Newcastle). Think there may be a few others as well.

If there is any I will be interested in going. How about near sheffield or is that too far for you GMAIN. Also has to be my weekend off which is a pain

Sheffield???! That's the Midlands as far as I'm concerned!!!

I would agree that Sheffield is a bit far south, perhaps Middlesbrough, Stockton, or Darlington would be viable for most people? Not too far south for our Scottish friends to join us, and not too far north for our Yorkshire friends?

Fair point but I only ask as im coming from milton keynes but il happily drive wherever. Anyone know of any dates so I can sort out getting weekend off if im working

we will have to bang our heads together and come up with a venue and date as im new to the volvo world would be good to meet other volvo owners and there cars regards shaun

Well, just as a suggestion, what about the following?

Meet up at Scotch Corner hotel on the A1/A66 - It's very easy for everyone to find.....

Then have a run to either High Force waterfall in Teesdale (about 28 miles from Scotch Corner) - Lovely picturesque scenerey, but very narrow roads in places!

Or alternatively, have a run to Pooley Bridge at the head of Ullswater in the lake district (about 54 miles from Scotch Corner). Again, gorgeous scenery, but much easier roads to navigate.

It would have to be before the winter set in, or after winter had gone - As neither one is any good when there's snow on the ground!

Just an idea - What does everyone else think?
