Default check your oil level if your car has just been serviced

Just got my car back from a service and the oil level was at bottom of the dipstick...
I checked with Volvo UK and my non DPF car should be at the top, full level ,as I thought.
Is there confusion at garages about which volvos have a service bulletin to lower the oil level slightly ?

Assume nothing, check your oil level after a service. Should not have to do so , of course...

I have NEVER trusted main dealers. Doesnt matter if its Vauxhall, Ford, Citroen, Toyota, or Volvo; I dont trust them.

Time and time again I have had to return a car to them to get faults corrected that a "service" has introduced, or on one occasion work wasnt completed but had been signed off! Always, but always treat them with disdain as once you think "they will have done that", there poor work will bite you in the ass!

Main dealer does not necessarily mean good work.

Had the engine just been running prior to checking it, or was it fairly cool?
