Haven't done the maths to get the mpg but I usually go 550 miles on a full tank.
Most is just over 600, least is 490.

My old XC90 was around 400-450 (max).

My journeys are typically 30 miles a day mon-fri - in start-stop commuting traffic (with one 100 mile trip each week on the motorway) and short trips at weekends. I will do between 12,000 and 15,000 miles in a year.

I use cruise control a lot.

Very impressed with the engine braking. I find that I can often let the car get down to the speed I want without using the brake - even in slow moving traffic.

D5 with 20" alloys. Had the car since November 2015.

27.3 average over 3k - dropped from around 30 in Autumn so winter must have been 24-25. On 20in. Lots of short trips. Heater booster is on and was pre-conditioning all winter. Get low to mid 30s on longer trips on local roads. 40 on motorway.

We have averaged just over 34mpg in almost 18,000 miles. Our worst tankful was 24.5 mpg when we were racing up & down French Alpine roads for a week in the winter, and our best was 38.3 mpg on mainly motorways.
