Not through the government website. I just use totalcarcheck to find out about vehicles. Far easier and quicker to use than the government set up.

I keep getting a message saying, "having trouble opening this page, try again later" or words to that effect.

that website just saved me a lot of hassle
was getting excited about a low priced lpg estate car with 4wd, seems too good to be true. Oddly enough it has a short mot, "passed" the last one but prior to that needed structural welding at 9 years old, lots of the same faults each year, seatbelts etc, why would they keep failing if new parts fitted ? -they wouldnt. All a bit dodgy. I cant be bothered to spend a whole day to go look at it, just to find that repairs arent quite up to scratch and the vendors mate is an mot tester who likes a drink.

Its going to get harder to sell ropey old bangers as the public catch on, but theres still one born every minute.

Brilliant, thanks for sharing, it's easily the best one iv come across.

P.s. the gov one's been around a while, although you did have to enter the courant MOT cert number in the past.

I just checked mine and found a good comment.

The mileage recorded at this MOT is above average for a vehicle of this age. (Average mileage of 52900)

Actual mileage is 186924 miles !!!

Brian.
