It was probably planted by Gertcha Thornybum or her ancestors as an act of rebellion......

Fantastic work! I'm afraid with the amount of rust I would of scrapped it, as haven't the welding skills or location where I could try. Looking forward to the end result.

The small green carpet didn't just appear there, there's definitely been a cosy habitat built there!

A big chunk more today.

Outrigger fully welded on.

Floor repaired.

And all the way back.

Inner sill complete.

Next job will be the sill at the jacking point, welding the outer sill on, then fixing the rear arch.

And that will be the welding done!

Well folks, the welding has finally come to a close.

Inner sill tidied up and painted.

Trimming outer to fit.

Some filler is required, but I'll do the cosmetics after I've had quite a few of these.

Slainte!

I think I speak for all of us on this forum - well done! We are nothing but impressed, you have done a super job and you deserve a few nice drinks before you begin the redecorating.

It's nice having a non rusty car. Still a few jobs to get this back on the road.

First a clearout. Hired a skip and got rids of lots of junk. Cleaning under the volvo was enjoyable.

A tin of dynax was emptied into every cavity.

Floors painted.

Repairs painted then undersealed.

Suspension cleanup.

Bushes removed.

Stripping.

I'm having a bit of trouble sourcing a front windscreen. Local companies don't do one, a new one from Skandix is in the region of £600 delivered. Becoming an issue now.
