Default Tyre Squeal on S40 Diesel

My 'work' car is a 2005 and a half S40 2.0D. Lovely car, but it has recently taken to squealing its tyres rounding corners at quite modest speeds.
I'm not talking about 5mph here, but neither do I mean flogging it to the limit round the bends. The car has the original Pirelli P7 tyres, beautifully even wear, 19000 miles on them with about 3.5mm tread depth left on the fronts.
Hasn't seemed to effect the handling at all, but the noise is annoying, and might draw unwanted attention from the plod if it persists.
Tyre pressures are correct, checked weekly, never more than 1 to 2 psi out.

Anyone got any ideas
