Can anyone help please/ I am lookming for a cylinder head for a pre-2000 (R reg) V40 GDI engine. I have been offered a complete engine but would prefer to do just the head if I can get one.
Thanks.

Many thanks for your reply. Skimming it was my first plan however I think it is too far gone. I measured over 20thou (0.5mm) warp at the point between the middle cylinders. The head machining shop I took it to agreed. They strongly advised against it even though it meant talking themselves out of a job. (Pretty honest of them really). I am quite worried what other damage might have been done so still tossing up between replacement head and complete engine. Any thoughts on those lines appreciated please. Thanks again. Kim.
