Obtaining service items
Just getting round to doing my first service of my 1966 122s.
Just wondering where I can obtain all the usual service items? I have air filters, but have no idea on part numbers for spark plugs, oil filters, or points. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thx |

try amazoncars.co.uk, they seem really helpful, and everything can be bought from them, or alternatively, try classicvolvoparts.co.uk, www.amazon.uk.com
in all cases, its best to phone them and speak directly, have all things to hand like distributor number, erm, engine type eg, B18D etc etc. as a matter of interest, where did you get the air filters from? |

In addition to the above, make sure that you use genuine Volvo oil filters (although I think that the suppliers mentioned will only sell this type) as there is a non-return valve in them which prevents oil starvation on start-up.

Thx for the replies. I will try the recommendations and make sure i get a non-return filter (although i suspect most are nowadays anyway).
I actually got the filters off ebay a while ago, was quite the bargain. I must admit if i hadn't of bought them off ebay i may well have invested in a pair of K&N filters just for ease. |
