Did you get to mention it to your dealer Christiaan? Although I can't see the difference in the pictures you posted my 2012 Ice White R-Design seems to be suffering from the same body panel/bumper slight colour mismatch that you described. To be honest that does not bother me as it is not something that one can spot easily (in my case anyway) unless really starring at the car and nobody except me has noticed it I think. A while ago I was sitting right beside a brand new shiny bright red R-Design XC60 in the showroom waiting for my car to be serviced and noticed firstly that it was looking great and secondly, given enough time to observe, a massive difference (relative to the variation on my ice white) between the red of the bumper and the rest of the car paint so it looks like the problem is not confined to our colour.

Funny you should bring this up today, as the car is going in to Volvo tomorrow for it's QAI so I will be discussing with them at about 8am.
I'll keep you informed.

So the car went in for it's QAI on wednesday and the Dealer's independant bodyshop chap looked it over.
After a few missed calls later I finally spoke to him today and he agrees there is a noticeable difference in the "whiteness" on various panels.
However he feels this can be attributed to the variation in material that is painted.... ie: Bumper=plastic and bonnet/wings= metal.

He suggests it may be worth mentioning to Volvo Customer service but feels they are likey to say there is no fault present and it is as described above and just variation due to the surfaces painted.

I can't say I would be overly impressed by this explanation on a £40k+ car, but we will see what Volvo Uk have to say.

Hmmm, I don't think it is going to be easy to convince Volvo to do anything about it but please do let us know how you get on.
