Hi All

If there is ONE thing you could get Volvo to change on the XC90 what would it be?.

I'll start it off, a bigger diesel engine option 3-3.5l

As it's a problem across all XC90 versions of all years - has to be the DEM AWD issue - very dangerous area of liability for Volvo if people are driving around unknowingly not having AWD...there needs to be a dash warning - and if they thought about it this could even be a feature where you could switch from AWD to Front 2WD, in fact why not even throw in locking central diff as well...

- more powerful engine
- adjustable air suspension
- Low ratio gearbox
- Diff lock
Just to name a few (damn, I'm shopping the wrong brand...)

- smooth 6 cylinder diesel engine
- much more "elegant" parking brake (quiet, smooth operation and release)
- 3rd row of seats that could slide to choose between leg room or boot space
- better rear visibility when reversing

To ditch the foot operated parking brake and replace it with a conventional hand brake, I honestly find the 185bhp is fine power wise.

Make it water resistant to a depth of 50m, i.e, splash proof. (Stop letting the rain in)

thumbs up to all of the above one things esp the 2/4wd, high/low ratio, diff lock set up and I just read the manual and found it won't go to some of the places I like to go without letting water into the diff, yup I guess I bought the wrong car as well...well sort of ...AWD is lovely on road and the XC90 is very economical, I just need a 4x4 toy as well.

So my one thing - bigger wheels :-)

5 seat option with a nice storage space where seats 6 & 7 are currently stored. - this is offered in many markets.

3 litre 6 cylinder diesel like BMW, Audi etc.

Let me read engine/gearbox sensor data on dash display. eg gearbox oil temp.

Front parking sensors - or at least the wiring to make fitting them easy.

Definitely change the parking brake for a handbrake, especially on a manual!
