Default wanted VOLALP adapter wiring diagram

HI Guys

i have a sc906 header unti in my 1997 V40 and i have picked up the alpine CHM-s620 cd changer from salvo but it was missing the adapter to change the 8 pin din to and 8 pin mini din for the back of the stereo.

Having looked around the cheapest i can find a VOLALP 1 for these systems is £40 which looking at it appears to be simply be a femail 8 pin din to a male 8 pin mini din with a fuse inline for the power pins.

having made a quick trip to Mapilins i find that a male 8 pin mini din is £1.29 and a female 8 pin din is 99p and a fuse holder is a 99p that if it is simply a case of matching the pins 1-1 2-2 3-3 then £3.29 is a lot more to my liking.

does anyone have one of these cable and if so can their run a circut tester over it and let me know if the pins line up or if their is a set patte ri need to follow. 1-3 7-5 2-8 4-6

any help would be gratefully accepted.

I do have the solution for adding a USB port into your glove boxes for powering MP3 players or charging your mobile as the parts from maplines will cost you under 88p for the regulator to drop the 12vs in the car down to 5v for the usb and then you simply need a female usb socket which you can pick one up from the Pound shop from a usb male to femail extender cable.

I can post the full instructs in people want them as i have a wiring diagram to go with it.

I've done a bit of research on this to avoid paying the £40 or so for a cable to plug into the CD socket on the back of my SC-805 for an aux in (ended up wiring to the tape input instead as I couldn't figure out the mbus protocol).

The pins are marked on the circuit board if you take the bottom off (two screws) so you could map them to the socket, but I do have this bookmarked:

Hi, Any sucess in finding the pinout's, I had a Phatnoise jukebox in my last car (Volvo) with has the 8-pin DIN connector. my new car C70 has the 8-pin Mini-Din lead, As you say the Vol-alp cable just appears to be an adapter without any electronics.
