Ok...i know i wasn't too helpful on the old PCD front (although hope to shed some light v.soon!), but hopefully i can help here!

I used the Stereo keys that came with my Kenwood headunit to remove the Volvo quality radio cassette (just by sliding them down the sides as the instructions will show you how to remove the Sony headunit). I then found to my surprise that the ISO adapter was already there, and just plugged it straight in. I did also find though, that running alot of wiring behind there (new headunit wiring and 2xpairs of RCA's) it became very tight and a bit of a struggle to tuck everything away. However, if you do have trouble or the right ISO isn't there, i do believe Autoleads do an adaptor block-it won't specify Volvo 440, but it will say something like Vauxhall Nova. I should imagine that being a '95 though, it should be just a straight swap-mines a '94 it went straight in. Never fitted a changer. I know mines just plugging a wire to the headunit and one to the changer and then putting it where i want.

Easy peasy! Have fun!

thanks for that info. You say your volvo came with the iso block. Did you buy the car as new or was it 2nd hand? I know my dad has had his 440 since 1995 and I have just took over the insurance, when I looked I just have the standard Volvo connection. Luckily I had found a lead specified for the 400 series at www.caraudiodirect.co.uk . One other thing, Will I need to buy a facia for my new stereo or are the volvo standard radios already the correct size? If I do need one where will I get one, I havent seen any for the 440.

Hmm. Strange that-mine is a 1994 and it had the iso block-i just plugged it in. I didn't need a fascia, it just slotted in perfectly, so no idea where to get a facia from. You wont need one anyhow. With regards to ownership (don't want to admit this!!!) im number 6...bless her little heart. But she has only done 74k with FSH, so im ok on that! She was untouched, so everything was as standard.

I think I have the same radio as you (also an XPLOD MD unit) and it was a doddle. One 10 pound cable from www.mcs-direct.co.uk and it just went straight in. I had a '96 440 BTW...
