This is not how I would like to remove a rear shock!
Did the rear shocks, springs, discs and pads today on my petrol turbo. My God! Driver side went fine, piece of cake but the passenger side lower shock bolt had siezed, it would not budge. Long story but I ended up removing the whole trailing arm and then with hacksaw cut through the shock and bolt. Took me the best part of 3 hours. Still, nice ride with gas shocks and heav duty springs to replace worn Nivos and those silly, soft Nivo springs. I hope it takes loads as well as my diesel with Nivos and standard shocks.

Hi George,
I see from your post on the Brickboard on this subject that you used PB Blaster on it. Do you know of a UK/European supplier of this legendary fluid, I`ve never seen any for sale in the UK. Thanks, Colin. |
