Smile 2002 v70 Speedo/dash clocks intermitent fault.Help!!!!

Hi, I have just bought a 2002 v70 d5 with 195,000 miles on the clock. Well what can i say. the car drives faultless apart from 1 minor fault.
The clocks (speedo, rev counter etc) all stop working , but a bang on the top of the dash and somtimes they will come back on. I have had them out today, could not see any thing visable, checked the block conector, all looked fine. when i has the dash in my hand but still pluged in, a squeze at the rear seem to do the job but when i let go they went back off. so something in the cluster i would say.
Has any one had any experance with these. Maybe a dry solder joint?
I did resoilder some of the larger soider joints when i had the thing in bits, but when put together all is the same.
Any help would be great.
if not, does anyone know if it is possable to get some seconhand clocks and just fit them stright in, or is it a plug in computer job to change them over.
Apart from this minor fault, the car drives, pulls and steers perfect. try saying that in a renault with 195k on!!!
Thanks Guys, Andy
p.s, does anyone now if the s60 grill fits on a v70??
