Hi.
The make of the fog lamps SEW Marchal. If I remember correctly the
outerdia 186 mm. The make was atleast on Swedish cars. I still ! remember
when a neighbour got his bran new 142 GL -72 what a "racing car" my father
at that time only had a 122S.....

I know that Marchal lighting was/is popular in Sweden but I think they might have been customer/dealer choice. Volvo had big contracts with Bosch and Hella so I doubt if they fitted Marchal at the factory. I also think they would have been more expensive, especially as Volvo could get better prices from Bosch or Hella for large orders.
Nice lights and sought after now.

SEW Marshall was fitted from factory atleast for the Swedish market. (This
subject has been up on the Swedish 140-forum.) On Volvo pictures from
that time they are "clearly" SEW lamps mounted on GL cars. (-71,-72)

Id imagine they'd be Hella, or Bosch. Noticed a while ago my rear lamps were Cibie.
Marchal seems odd as its a name I associate with Peugeots and Talbots.

My early high spec D jet 144E had Marchal spot lights on it; pretty sure they were factory original and it was a RHD UK market car.

Whilst on this subject I would like to fit supplementary driving lights to my 144 68 vintage. which lamps would fit on the front bumper? Needs to have fixing pedestal to the rear as there is only about an inch from center line on bumper to front grill.

The old style Hella lights are so thin they'll easily mount on the bumper. Ideally you need a reinforcement inside the bumper welded to the bumper iron and top stady bars
