Also be mindful of the rolling resistance (fuel efficiency) when you're choosing tyres, especially on petrol variants, as when you introduce a 'sport' or 'all season' the rating tends to go south...hence why I recommend going for A to C ratings for both grip and fuel economy on a daily driver.

God no, these are total garbage (ive ran Pirellis Pzero's) and if you do not wear them out you will see cracking start to appear on side walls and tread blocks after a while.

We run the Michelins on ours, daily driver, varied road types and occasional track days, hands down best tyre for feedback and ride quality.

Michelin Ps4s
Goodyear Eagle F1
Continentals
Vredestein Ultrac
Uniroyal Rainsports5

Michelin are also prone to side walls cracking, they're great if you get down to the legal 1.6mm before they do, if not they are expensive.

I was speaking to my local tyre guy recently who has been in the business for over 50 years (father & son) and he says there is nothing to touch Uniroyal Rainsport tyres at the moment

Lixah, two topics that will generate more polarised opinions than anything else are engine oil and tyres. Everyone has had different tyre experiences, drive differently, live in different geographical areas, and so will recommend different tyres...

Which is why I recommended you read the reviews of any tyre you are considering on https://www.tyrereviews.com They have reasonably scientific tests with repeatable results, so their conclusions and comparisons are as valid as you'll find.

Be wary of the prices atm too - there are a few places offering 'Black Friday' deals... which without mentioning names, are more expensive that the pre-sale prices. I've just bought a set of tyres for one of my cars from Camskills - they seem to be pretty consistently cheaper than most other outlets, even allowing for the shipping costs. (Then add approx £10 per tyre for fitting).

I have to agree to a degree with this, my mum has ran these on her P2 V70 D5 auto for a couple of years and they have been a great all rounder, yes i know her D5 is a different beast to a T5 etc but they are excellent value too.

Hi, thanks for all advice
I have still yet to purchase my tyres and install

However I have an additional question

I'd like to install a set of new wheel nuts at the same time
All I find on ebay list them as "60 degree taper" but state " this is for aftermarket alloy wheels"

Can anyone confirm if the stock volvo wheels / titans also use a 60 degree taper on their wheel nuts ? If not, what sort do I need ?

Thanks
