  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

u/s is a military term and means unserviceable

I have replaced lots of these units and in my experience if your getting the alarm system service required message then its too late and the battery has already leaked onto the circuit board and wreaked it.

If you have an 8+ year old car then it is a good plan to cut open the unit and replace the battery before it goes bad.

You don't need to grind off that doomed rivet just grab it with a small pair of locking pliers with nice sharp teeth.

Changing battery does not clear service light, removing fuse 8 kills the alarm but not the sensor so still goes into alarm state but without alarm sounding or indicators flashing ( which on mine drained the battery).
