R-Design rear skid plate?

Hi - does anyone know if the silver R-Design rear skid plate comes ready painted? The reason for asking is that some b*stard has scraped along mine and buggered off leaving a long black scrape through the silver paint?

Apparently there isn't a touch up stick as there's no paint code?

Hi,

Having trawled through the accessories website, it looks as if the skid plate and the lower bumper are one part. Whether you can get the skid plate on its own only the dealer would know.

not sure with R-Design but when I ordered missus' it was optional extra that I didn't spec'd.
from memory the F&R pieces are pre-painted and bolted onto the bumper...
I suspect R-Design would be the same?

Perhaps the best and probably cheapest option would be to have it rubed down and resprayed at a bodyshop??

You could then custom colour code to your particular colour (Barbie Pink??)

I think I might just get a smart repair done as Volvo can't even supply a paint code for the silver!

On a more worrying note for R-Design owners, there appears to be no specific touch up paints for the silk finish lower panels in any of the XC60 R-Design colours?

I've done a bit of googling and it looks as though the colour used on all the 'silver' bits on the R-Design models (front and rear skid plates and sill mouldings) may be paint code 426 'Mystic Silver', I'll buy a touch up and let you know how I get on.
