Unless I’m mistaken.....

The orange key only limits the top speed. What would be nicer would be if it limited you to speed limit + 10mph (as sometimes the car thinks you’re in a 20mph limit rather than a 30mph). This would be much safer for a younger driver in that they wouldn’t be able to hammer it to 70mph in a 20mph zone for example.

The orange key also used to be an option on the MY17 XC90. Sure it was £200+. Now it’s included but you lose a proper spare key. I guess it’d be nice to able to spec 2 x normal keys or 1 x normal and 1 x orange.

I need an orange as got my teenagers queuing up to learn to drive, but I’d still prefer the better definition of speed limits as per my previous post.

Exactly what my dealer said when we uncovered this problem.

I have 2 normal and 1 lifestyle. Foolishly I didn't realise you could set profiles when I got the car (doe to terrible next to useless handover from dealer), so I just want ahead and set all my personal settings up.

I now realise that they were done as "Guest".

Is there any way to copy the guest settings to one of the keys at all?

I just bought new XC90. Got black key, orange key and activity fob.

Interesting! Can I ask when the car was registered please. Was it a factory order or a stock car? (I’m guessing it’s quite a recent spec change, or I’ve been had!)

I also have a 21MY XC90 and I also got the standard key, the orange key and the activity key. Mine was a factory build order, ordered end of September and delivered mid-November.

It was a “stock” car. Registered 31 March.

Yep - I think the sport key went at MY21.5.

My car was ordered early October, turned up in December in the wrong colour (don’t ask!) was reordered as a late MY21.5 being delivered 01.02.21
