Thank You
As most of the posts on here are generally pepole asking for help or advice, I thought I would post a note of thanks to all of you out there that have posted advice and guidance in the past. There are many of us, often quiet, who use these pages to either diagnose or fix items on their cars. It was my latest 'fix' that prompted me to write this as without even seeing the car, I managed to diagnose the likely fault (camshaft position sensor) order the part and then, only confirm it when I got home using the home built code reader. Just a list below of what I can remember doing, all based on the valuable posts on this forum, which has kept my car going strong today.
Door check strap Installation of cabin air filter and holder Change of PCV system Repair of locked and broken glove box Replacement of cabin air fan Build of OBD code reader Replacement/repair of Headlamp wiper motor Replacement of Windscreen wiper motor New clutch/flywheel/oil seal (garage job) but correct diagnosis Camshaft position sensor replacement Rear suspension top moounts Lower wishbone replacement Front damper and top mount replacement Headlamp glass replacement Rear tailgate damper replacement Rear tailgate repair (lining) Oil/cables/plugs Aircon compressor clutch shimming Climate Control Damper repair (floor) Climate control sensor cleaning Dashboard light bulb replacement Odometer repair (very small cog) Handbrake adjustment including rear shoes. Brake disc and pads replacement Brake fluid change Steering fluid change (with syringe) Fuel pump replacement Fuel pump relay Fuel filter change Fuel tank to filler flange (corroded) Rear Child seat locking (would not pull down) ABS module reapir (dry solder joints) ABS reluctor ring (garage job) ARB drop links I am sure there are a few things I have forgotten. So thank you for saving me a stack of money over the years in hours and hours of labour charges and well done...keep up the good work! |

Yep. I know what you mean, it's so easy to start a new thread when a bit of searching will probably give you all the info that you need. If that don't work then by all means start a new one stating that you have already searched, tried and failed with with the answers before starting a "new thread" on the same subject.

Help
Just to add, it would be nice to have peeps finish their threads with the outcome, even if it didn't work for them.
I'm relatively new on here looking at the join dates, so search first.
