Default Change from Butane to Propane

As I am going to be using the van thrughout the winter I thought it may be best to change from Butane to Propane gas.

has anyone done this? Is it a straight swop other than paying for the gas (mine are just about empty)?

Cheers
Alan

You will also have to change the hose,on most modern vans with a fixed regulator the same regulator is used for both gases ask at any caravan dealers to confirm.

the reason for the hose change is that on some vans the regulators are crimped onto the pipes and not with a jubilee clip so you cant get them off

If you are changing the pipe, is it a bulk head mounted regulator ? If yes you dont need to alter this as they run both gas pressures at 30..

You may find appliances run hotter with propane, we do. Butane tendsa to be a cleaner gas though - tbh as we caravan all year round we dont change between the two, propane all the time.
