Matt,The fuel Rail is pressurising but the fuel is not being injected into the pots,or so it seems,have ordered a new (2nd hand) Cam position Sensor.Will post after i have tryed it out.It may be some time with the post on strike.

Good Evening,Want to have a look at my Imobilizer (while waiting for the CPS to turn up)can someone tell me where it lives in my car please.

It might be worth giving the antenna ring a clean?

How many miles, BTW, and is the fuel pump original?

I have a CPS off a 850, that i imagine is the same somewhere if you want a lend....
I am sure that if the immob is on on the early 70's they will fire but die immediately..Someone confirm....?

Have now confirmed fuel geting to fuel rail,under pressure but no further.

Thanks for you'r kind offer Jod,have ordered,2nd hand one,will post when i have tryed it. I'm still not shure of the main relay though it's staying on for four mins,after ignition is switched of off seems a long time to me although according to the wiring diagram it has a capassitor in it..

You mentioned a fault with the rotor arm,have you changed that and the distributer cap?

have you tried camshaft sensor? definatly try that! twas my problem!

stinger from volvo dealer at £120 plus VAT

if you were closer to me i'd try mine on yours

Have a 2nd hand one on the way Stu, will post when i have tryed it.Will have a look at the Imobaliser antenna ring while i am waiting.Tanks for the kind thoughts.
