2012 v60 D5 replacement key

Is a replacement key main dealer only?

Looking at a second hand car, looks decent condition and well looked after but only has one key. The guy has said he'll knock £200 off for the key missing, but just need to know that's enough?

Timpsons and the like do car keys/ fobs/ programming for most makes that are cheaper.

Depends how long you are planning on keeping the car as I'd want a couple of genuine ones if I was buying.

About £290 at the dealer, supplied and programmed. I know this because earlier this year I dropped my keys and for some reason it would no longer start the car (I'm guessing the glass transponder capsule was damaged). So if he discounts just a little bit more youll be more or less there.

Remember going to the dealer will remove the missing key from the car, that’s certainly something I’d value.
