sensor and switch problems

Can any body please help me, i have just bought a 1999 s80 t6 (2.8), i have taken it to the garage as kick down is not working and they have informed me that i require a mass air flow sensor, oxygen sensors and a throttle positioning sensor, this is going to turn out to be very expensive, has any body come across this before as i find it funny that all three have gone all at once, any help or advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
