I have cross climates on the XC90 and rate them highly under all conditions. They are also exceptionally hard wearing!

The only thing is I have also run Avon winter tyres and General Grabber AT2 and found all of them very good in fairness. So I am not sure you need to spend too dollar for something good all round. That said, when my cross climates expire I will replace with the same.

We've had Hankook 4S all seasons on the XC70 for a few weeks and initial impressions are positive. Very similar to the Michelins but significantly cheaper.

Just had 4 Michelin Cross Climate fitted at Costco £462 - 235/60/18.

The fitter set the pressure at 35, is this the standard pressure for these tyres. I used to have my original Continentals at 37.

Volvo Recommend 39psi as eco tyre pressure (should be on label on your Door Pillar)
