2002 V70 D5 - Best place for parts
Hi Guys,
My 2002 V70 D5 is in need of a few bits and pieces and i'm hoping you can help point me in the right direction :-) I am looking for the best place to purchase the following- Intercooler- My intercooler has split at 145k and needs replacing, is it best to go for a genuine Volvo one or are there comparable quality or even better ones out there for similar or even less money? Front Grille- I would like a black grille as close to the "R" one as possible, preferably de-badged as i'm not interested in making it look like an "R" replica but ideally to be black in colour, any suggestions? Rear/Boot Spoiler - I'm looking for either a genuine factory issue boot spoiler (with tail light) if possible or if you could suggest some good aftermarket alternatives i would also consider these. I know i don't post on here very often or as often as i'd like but thank you for taking the time to read my post and your assistance is greatly appreciated. Cheers |

There are plenty of excellent quality OEM intercoolers on eBay for half the price of Volvo unit. They can be had for less than 120. My aftermarketunit is still going strong after a year. Don't waste your money. Make sure you check if yours does or doesn't have the sensor hole

Thanks for your input guys.
Billtomo i will pm you about the grille :-) reesky- thanks for your input, how do i tell if mine has a sensor hole or not as i've heard about this before when i've contacted local suppliers? Of course when i asked my local main dealer they just told me the price for a new unit and i suppose they are able to tell from their system whether mine has a sensor hole or not? Is it worth ringing them to ask them if my vehicle requires the one with the sensor hole or not? Cheers |
