Default Ignition Antenna Aerial replacement

Hi there, first post on this great forum. I thought I would post a few photos of the ignition antenna aerial I replaced on my 2004 T6 XC90 as I have read a posts about people having similar symptoms as I was having. Replacing the antenna aerial was about the easiest job on the car you could do and took about 5 min’s. The part cost me $55 from Volparts in Victoria, Australia.
I replace it as once every 3odd weeks I would get into the car and try to start it only to get the car turn over although not fire and start. I worked out I could start the car by hitting the lock key on the key ring thus locking the doors, then unlocking it then inserting the key again. The ignition antenna ring is what I think is at fault and has been working fine since replacing it.

Remove the steering cowling by undoing the 3 screws then release the steering wheel tilt lever to position the column in order to slide out the underside of the surround.
The antenna ring is located on the right hand side of the steering column and comes off by using a small flat screwdriver to lever off the plastic tab located near the “0” on the round section.
Unplug the electrical connector
Slip the new one into the slots then reconnect the electrical plug
Slip the underside of the steering column cowling back on and clip into position then screw 3 screws back in

Hope this helps.
Cheers
