Default Removable Winch ...

I've searched the forum but found nothing about installing a winch to an XC90, especially a removable winch.

I don't want it permanently bolted to front of the car like some 4x4 enthusiasts, I want/need something I can quickly install when needed and remove just a quickly.

I was wondering if its possible to utilise the rear tow bar fitting some how, make something that could be attached and removed as quickly as the towbar ?

Ideas anyone ?

Stealing their idea I wonder if I could convert an old Brink Tow Bar by cutting off the towing ball and welding on a plate that I could bolt the winch to. This would then fit direct to my rear of my XC90 ...

Anyone got an old Brink towbar forsale like the one in the attached pic ?

Would the absence of a battery in the front of the XC90 preclude a front mounted winch such as the one shown in the link?

That's the reason I want to use the rear. Towing hitch and the battery are already there ...

You could use one of these with a rear hitch or perhaps the Watlings front towbar

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-T-REX...8235d9c&_uhb=1

There's no room up front for something concealed without a lot of work.

I added some solid recovery points which you can see in these pics - which I think are a better option on the front of the xc90.
