Default T-5R - "Humming" noise. Wheel bearing?? - Now fixed

Finally got round to sorting out the humming noise. Turned out to be the drivers side wheel bearing as suspected. It was semi-seized - rotating the wheel was really stiff. Didn't mess about, replaced both sides with OE spec hub kits (SKF).
Turned out to be an expensive exercise as the drag from the defective bearing was obviously causing me to use sufficient steering input to drive in a straight line as to scrub off the inner edges of both front tyres. There was no noticeable pulling to one side but now I think of it when travelling in a straight line, the steering wheel was definitely off centre. Just goes to show how much feel you lose with power steering!
So, new hubs and fitting, 2 Pirelli P-Zeros and laser tracking of the suspension left my wallet £770 lighter and gasping for air. Still, the upside is the handling has been transformed with pinsharp turn in.

Regards
John

A nice feeling when a problem has been rectified and the car runs so much better. Even though your wallet is on life support......😥
