The only thing I can find (so far) to back this up is on page 4 of this document:

EDIT: actually, that might be referring to the 'R' model. oops
Attached is a shot from the official brochure, your engine will be the "T3" , 240 BHP/330Nm with a TD04-16T .....

It's a real shame that no-one makes an aftermarket wastegate actuator for the T5 engines, although mine is wound up, I don't think it works as it was intended to any longer.

My Saab 9000 had a fully serviceable Forge wastegate actuator with different srping options, it was also a TD-04. Forge will make one up for you, but I expect you'd have to send them your turbo and it would be $$$.

In view of the fact that this thread is relating to a 850 T5, are you suggesting that RICA have created a updated map for the 304 or are you refering to RICA as a whole....

Hi Jod

That makes sense now The Rica chips for the early cars was updated last year i don't call them anything other than a stage one or stage two...

I used to have a Forge -31 alloy actuator on my old car which had interchangeable springs. The only issue with it was that because it wasn't air tight I could never get a constant boost pressure reading with it fitted so I fitted a Garrett -31 instead which was a sealed steel unit and was perfect at holding steady boost pressures.

Hi Russ
Any clues as to the updates?...
It would be nice to know if RICA have recognised any issues with the origional 304 Map...
Somehow the Cynic in me doubts RICA spends too much effort on "old Banger" 850' lol.............

Andy, I never had a problem, neither did loads of mates who also had them. Not that I'd trust the results from Dastek, but the guy who bought my car got 320bhp there and that was not with some dodgy bleed valve.

Fair enough maybe it was just mine that was faulty...., tbh I have never liked bleed valves, mbc's so try and avoid them.
