Default D5 noise when starting from cold

Hi

i have just bought a used approved C30 D5. It was used as a demonstrator and has done 11K miles.

When starting from cold over the past couple of days it has been making a squeeking/chattering noise when ticking over that sounds like one of the belts starting to slip. The noise goes when the engine warms up. I have had a discussion with the dealer that I bought it from who said that it wasn't a problem, they just make that noise when the weather is cold/damp. However they changed the belts anyway (but it was still making the same noise this morning!).

Does anyone else experience this? Is it the belt? Is it really the case that they make this noise when the weather is so cold/damp?

Thanks in advance for responses

Have a look before you start it in the morning , due to no bonnet gutter the water can run down inside , it may find it's way onto the belt , no problem . It also makes this noise when you top up the washers and some splashes land on the belt .
