740 fuel pump Pressure
I have a 1986 2.3 non turbo
I am fitting a 2.3 turbo engine What pressure do the non turbo pumps have and is the two of them in the na and turbo |

The fuel pressure is set by the regulator on the inlet manifold. Nearly any pump from any injection volvo will provide enough fuel for standard power for a B230FT. The 360 GLT pump will drive it.
If you ave any doubts then fit a pressure gauge inside, or just upgrade it. They have a limited life as the DC brushes wear out, my 940 one failed after around 160K. Last edited by TonyS9; May 2nd, 2022 at 13:58. |
