Default S40/V50: can you buy just the foglight lenses?

My foglight lenses are pretty chipped and beat up after 170k miles, is there anywhere to get just the lenses? I van only seem to find complete fog light units.

Thanks in advance

It's a sealed unit. The lenses aren't available as a separate part.

Heard of some people polishing them down, its actual glass so can be polished pretty well using proper abrasive paste, just not sure how damaged/chipped yours are, but worth looking into it maybe?

Our 2009 V50 is as plastic as plastic could get. My 2004 S40 also had plastic foglight lenses.

I can stand corrected on FL models, assumed those are glass just like pre-FL, hovewer not sure why your 2004 had plastic? My 2005 fogs are glass.

sidenote - if FL are plastic those are even easier to polish using dyi kits than glass ones so even more worth trying imho...

The pre-facelift S40 had round lamps like the post facelift S40 & V50. Maybe only the semi-oval V50 ones were glass prior to the facelift?

Only possible explanation but very odd from production point of view... Unless V50 fogs are repurposed from "something else and older" hence glass and S40 were custom new parts?... weird

These are plastic lenses and this is a FL model. As for being sealed units mine came apart to tint the lenses yellow and have a rubber seal when clicking back together. This is why I figured just lenses must be available. Who knows yhanks anyway =]

if they are plastic, then any "headlight refurb kit" will do the job, best to take them off the car and do on the bench
i used the "autoglym headlight restoration kit" on mine when i got it, works well.
you Might be advised to get a UV coating over the lenses post refurbishment,
Gtechnic C2v3 works and is diy
alternately a local body shop May be able to spray a UV coating on
