Hi,

I've done the cambelt on the s60 D5 and it's quite an easy job.

It's worth getting the Vadis software manual,as it tells you the angle and torque to set the tensior(which is critical on the D5),and torques for everything else, (search volvo vadis on ebay, it's a couple of quid) it's what volvo garages use for reference so it's good(not like haynes). There's a good couple of pages with diagrams showing you how to do it.

hope this helps,

Loz

Default Job Done

Just completed it. Not a bad job. Things to look out for.
Mole grips for keeping the wheel arch flap out of the way when you bend it along the pre creased line (no one tells you this) they just say take the inner wheel are out and many of the fixings are riveted!

30mm socket needed for big crank shaft nut and some sort of impact gun.
Dont bother removing the strut brace.

Get a T60 torqx to move the serpentine belt tensioner (better to be a long nose one as well so you can fit the belt around it as it will tend to snag on a short socket.

Parts bill £79.00 incl 2 Bearings and belt (skf Kit)
