We pulled the engine and gearbox and windscreen today. The windscreen put up a fight.

No used a multi tool to cut it out but the trim clips make it hard to get out. A sharp multi tool would normally make light work of cutting a bonded screen out but cutting around the old trims was difficult. Hammer and a wee screw driver used to get the old rusted trim clips out along the bottom.

Doesn’t look bad at all around the screen, that’s encouraging!👍

There must be one factory in China that makes those roll around engine stands for the rest of the world. That one looks identical to mine (minus some paint overspray) which dates back to about 2012. Hasn't supported an engine in many years; but, useful for holding other things. Kind of like an exercise treadmill.

An automatic welding helmet i bought from Amazon about 8 years ago for £29.99 delivered was exactly the same as one i saw for sale in a motor factors in Bury St Edmunds a week or so later with Sealey stickers (yes, stickers!) on the same box with the same helmet for £72.99! These are just two examples of the many "cross-branded" items i either own or have seen. These days i find the tool i want then hunt for one with an identical spec but unbranded for a much cheaper price that also looks the same, even if the colour is different.

A mate gave me the stand years ago. He got it free when buying something from machinemart.

Yeah the screen aperture is good thankfully. No issues just need to clean it up and epxoy prime and seal in the new trim clips.

Made a start on the screen aperture. Good clean up and then epoxy primer around all the new and old clips.
