Four real options (in no order)
1) bsr
2) rica - I have the sports map and it's bloody brilliant
3) mte
4) tuning box - don't go there

Do a search on this forum, this has been covered lots and always kicks up debate. Check out t5d5 forum too.

Contact Outnumbered. He has had an MTE remap very recently and will provide you with loads of GOOD info and advice. In addition he is not too far away from you and is very approachable.

Thanks Dcor.

Did your ins. premium go up much?

Do you see an increase or decrease in mpg?

to be honest I have not noticed Any decrease in mpg - average over a few tanks is about 42/43 mpg (brim to brim reading as the computer is a tad optimistic!)

Insurance is not too bad - I did inform mine (Adrian flux) and I did have to pay an extra 150 ish but worth it just incase! I don't drive like a maniac but I like having the extra ooph when I need it. Also very handy for towing my boat as the trailer is rather heavy.

I have heard very good things about the mte map.

if you are considering a re map there are a few pointer's that you should be aware of.
your car must be as near as damit fault free ie , no intercooler issues these map will eat them for breakfast do a search for Robbie H and read his thread on his re map.injectors, EGR plenium clean, intercooler hose's and all air intake especially the one from the air box to the turbo clutch and last but not least DMF with the remaps the above take a lot more pressure so they have to be okay.i have MTE its been on the car for about 3 weeks i have tried the plug and play and there is a big difference, i did go for the RICA sports map but on the test drive the clutch slave went on the test drive. on the MTE the power band is smooth all through the rev range and to the red line it does not fall of. the plug and play power is there intially but tails of at higher revs i can not comment on BSR or RICA. do a read up and make your own decision. you are more than welcome to have a trip in mine to see what you think. you are more than welcome to try a plug and play on your car and yes i paid that bit extra for the insurance.

It's a 6.5 m valiant rib ....

http://www.valiant-boats.com/valiant...0620%20Cruiser.

Only had it for 6 months, traded in my last boat and bought this with my dad. We have it moored down at salcombe in Devon. Awesome boat but we need to trailer it back to bracknell Berkshire (3.5 hrs down m5 and m4).
