How sad for such a smart looking car to be un servicable. Good luck with the outcome.

Not so. I have no need for the child seats and if I'd wanted them (or anything else) I'd have bought the whole car at the original price weeks ago.

Smile Breaking / selling the xc70

First of all thanks for the interest and to answer some questions,
1/ the cat is not "nackered" it had a 1/2 inch split in the pipe welded up and has been checked on an mot emmisions test machine and it passed.
2/ the fuel tank problem is a perished gaskit and missing clip
3/ a fair ammount of the work from in perticular 2 of the garages used by the previous owner has
a. not been done but charged for
and b. carried out by poorly skilled mechanics, does it take 3 attempts to fix a handbrake ? at a cost of hundreds !!!
I have replaced the (removed) abs bulb in the instrument cluster and repaired the break in the sensor wire which caused the fault to light up the warning lamp
i estimate the previous owner has been fleeced of at least £1500 if not more.
And some parts have had a 900% mark up in these bills too.

I am only selling due to a loss of working space in which to overhaul this car

It has had new front tyres from my old v70 put on the front, 5mm + tread

It is my valuation of what i think my car is worth, i don't give 2 hoots what certain ****s think of it being for sale cheaper before.

Thanks for that, I assume you'll be updating the ebay listing with these points....
