Ok, but mine has 14" Alloys on it, and it came with them. I am not getting any odd noises when driving it and I have had them on and off several times with no issues.

Please excuse my ignorance, but if the alloys are fouling the callipers wouldn't I know?

I only ask, as having spent more than the car is worth on body work and getting the alloys blasted I would hope that I haven't wasted my time, and I don't really want to have any problems ahead.

sorry should have not not all 14inch alloys with fit.

Usualy they wil rub on the calipers. It could be a differnce between ate and girling possibly.

If they are fouling you will know about it

And just a bit more general info, fitted my Virgo (GLT) alloys today with the new 185/70 x 15. With that profile of tyre on Volvo 6" wheels, there would be no clearance on the trailing lip of the arches with anything much wider. The car has lower springs but not that much.

I'm assuming of course that the 164 has the same back end as a 144......!

I have a strange combination of tyres on my recently acquired 144 DL. 2 Goodyears on the back, size 175/65 R15. Then a Semperit 165/80/R15 on the front o/s and a Pirelli 165/80/R15 on the front n/s

!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!

the front 2 have a few mm of tread but are cracked and perished on the walls and the back 2 are just WRONG

so, ordered 4 Toyos 165/80/R15s for this Friday - £200 all fitted…..not bad????

Interesting, I'm over Bath way and just paid £219 all in and I thought that was a good deal. I went to Carson Tyres in Melksham and I find them a good service with good value but not as good value as yours!

Cheers

Tony
